Ending my week…

Well, I did 3 prototypes of the bag before I got to the final one.  I always have to do a basic mock up of a pattern to see how it goes together.  Then I play with stabilizers and size.  When I’m happy with all those factors, then I do the one that was playing in my head.  And here it is……

The pattern is from a new book by Sharon Burgess, Quilting on the Go…English Paper Piecing.  And, of course, I had to have it.  The fabrics are from the soon to be released Charming collection by Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs.  The bottom section is cork!  So easy to sew with.  I used a Universal 90/14 needle in my Bernina 880 and it was smooth sailing.

This is a fantastic size pouch for make-up or maybe some EPP notions/supplies.  I’ve done enough prototypes I’ll have some left over for gifts.!

Happy sewing……Trish!
